Berlin wall, what do you remember?

Recently the 20 anaversity of the fall of the Berlin wall was celebrated. I remember the images from the wall being beaten down with sledge hammers. Was some time after the actuall political fall but it's what I remember from it.

What do you remember from this historic time?

I remember the reactions of family and everyone that was talking about it, I dont think I saw it live and I didnt really understand the significance of it at the time. Its a pity cause had I been that *little* bit older I would have understood it that much better...
