truckers strike

yall have heard about the truckers going on strike to protest the price of desil fuel.

anything crazy happening around yall town? was talking to a trucker freind on the 2way and it is just starting here and it is supposed to be worse here tomorrow and already there are people throwing nails into onramps, busting out windows, slashing tires and seting things on fire, i guess ill be traveling tomorrow with my 72hr pack and sks just incase the idiots join in and there are riots.

i heard they going to drive super slow on the road ways is all, to a snail crow.

read it in the news paper today.

Florida state trooper & local police dept said they are ready to send them to jail if they block traffic or drive super slow by holding traffic up.

i can't really see them doing it reason time is money and waste of fuel

They better take the strike seriously because with no truckers....food and everything else stops so the price goes waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up.

yea i think in the UK they jackup the fuel Tax super high over there too and any type of Alcohol tax drinks Wine, hard drinks, they are all tax like crazy, think tax on Alcohol like in wiskey.... tax gone up 26% on them for Wine is like 8% tax. as for fuel don't know i heard they pass a new tax on that and truckers over there are hopping mad about it as will.

yea every one like to see the price of fuel go down! its take the goverment to jack it up with tax's from hell.

im already way ahead of ya on the stocking, i got a 1000lbs pallet of dry goods and about 800lbs of caned stuff, 4 Kataden water filtration systems and bottled water, ill be ok fer a while, lol.

i wouldnt do cereal, beans, rice, corn, etc, has better nutrition for the ammount, get the unbleached long grain rice for the bleached stuff is mostly starch and isnt as nutrisious as the long grain unbleached.

and cereal is mostly empty starches and just eating that you will get scurvy and all kinds of other nutrient deficiencies, thats why they enrich the cereal, for if they didnt you would starve to death in months just eating that.

ya can get corn at a feed store for 8.00$ a 50lb bag, get ya a meal grinder and make ya own cornmeal for corn bread.

i wouldnt get any MREs ither, they are fine but for the proce you dont get very much, i can get a 10lb bag of long grain rice at win dixie for around 3.00$ and a 10lb bag of mixed beans for about the same.

ya will want to get some 20mm ammo cans and linem witha plastic garbage bag to seperate the product bag from the sides and to keepem airtight and it will keep the rodents and wevils out.

ya can also get these big plastic 55gal drums with the clamp on lids, get the darker olor drums for better photo resistancy(gets hard and britle with direct light exposure) and make shure it is unused, dont want solvents soaking thru the bags.

ya can also go the the hardware store and get 5gal buckets, or like we did for the corn, the real big heavy black nylon 33gal treashcans with the airtight lids work good.

if ya do it right you can get a few months supply of food for 50$.

i used to laugh when there was a storm warning when i was working stock clerk at the local grocery store, i dont laugh now for it is scary, every1 would buy all caned stuff , all the processed stuff but no 1 would ever touch the dry goods, for what you can get with 10$ in canned goods and processed stuff you can get 8 times that buying dry goods.


corn, beans, peas, rice, etc and caned stuff you can get the corned beef and mix it in with your foods and thatll give ya protein, with this you can live for years quiet comfortably , long enough to make your own garden and grow your own stuff.
