RollEyes Loosen up...

Man, does anyone these days go to the NW forums? Seriously, I'm a bit peed off at the attitude of some of those moderators there...

For starters, they ACT so formal, in a way that makes it sound like they're really serious and are on the verge of wanting to smoke a cigarette. Seriously!

Like when someone on the NW forums asked if there would be an ICQ for NW moderators, and one of the mods says something like No and it's time to replace your betamax VCR too... Yes it is a joke, we all know it. But it was said in a way that made it sound as if the moderator was being just plain cheeky...

And someone else asked the same moderator a question, and his reply was like sigh....... Yes the question was stupid but don't you have anything better to say?!

Why act so damn formal and serious all the time? Loosen up for crying out loud!

For a rating on how they act and all, I'd give them a 6/10. That's the nicest I can get, period.

Some of the moderators (even though they all act pretty much the same in some areas), are slightly better...

Chris

it is true and has been for a long time in NW but you have to understand chris these are not novalogic people they are nerd of the wroste type there.

they like details and info what people are telling them.

novalogic, inc tech support would never act like that.
they don't even go to novaworld forum at all its so full of hate it not fun for them ether

Yeah I know Chief, lol. On the NW forums, NW.Mod02 said that the moderators on NW, are former NW employees, volunteers in the community, and something else.

And ShArP, not everyone here has been to the NW forums... I started this thread just to tell people what I think of them, not to tell people what they already know.

And something funny as well. On the NW forums, the moderator said that he cannot reveal much about how the sysops work or otherwise cheaters would use this information to their advantage. YET he said in the thread (anyone want a link? You gotta be registered though), that the sysops sometimes appear offline on Messenger to keep the cheaters off their guard. C'mon, you just gutted yourself AND your team, doofus!

o you got a good point there chris and i guess if they already knew you wouldn't have posted this, lol

and the mods need to stop lurking the forums and watching the nova servers for hackers that are never gonna get caught and be smart and not come in as moderator then a number, like what idiots are gonna hack when they are in there?

A few reasons not to go on the NW forums:

• Oh no, did they really close the Lounge forum down? (ONLY NL game talk now... )
• A lot of guys post off-topic crap.
• Moderators lock any thread they see got to do with cheaters (can't debate about hating them lol).
• Forums take quite some time to load (well, for dialup users only probably anyway...).

And ShArP, the moderators I think don't patrol the Nova servers. They do the forums, and the sysops do the servers. Totally different mate.

And hell, personally, I don't actually know if a lot (I mean a lot) of people here knew what the moderators act like.

Don't blame me if I'm wrong lol... If I'm right, one of the mods at NW forums said that the mods patrol the forums and the sysops do the servers (or, server mods). If he didn't mention anything about it at all, I'm wrong.

The only thing nova cares about anymore is their brand new titles which aren't that good anyway. The better titles such as DF:LW, DF2 and DF1 were just thrown away by nova. They are infested with cheats because novalogic let them takeover the games and most of the support mods at NW hardly know anything about the earlier games.

The servers aren't hardly monitored by anyone from NL. BHD servers aren't even really monitored anymore. The only time they get monitored is when a cheat is reported. Then a sysop will come in, watch the player for 3-5 minutes, then leave.

Theres no point in debating this anymore as everyone knows how nova performs and operates with their older titles. BHD will be just like LW soon. Give it another year or so.

According to what I read on the NW forums, Nova will never ever update BHD no matter how much you nag them about it. I'm thinking they're not updating the game because then cheaters will just bypass the fixes they do - so Nova like to just simply ban the cr*pheads when they go into the servers. I don't think Nova are lazy EDGE - they just have a different routine of getting rid of cheaters.

Well, Nova are lazy when it comes to making games though I guess... :/

What Nova should do is have a moderator in the server at nearly ALL TIMES, so when a cheater comes into the server, they'll see that the moderator is in the server and therefore might leave. The moderator doesn't have the be at the computer 24/7 watching for cheaters.

Or alternatively, have an automated message in the servers saying that a moderator is active in the server (it can be a lie if they wish).
