I think it's to stop with the posting of threads in the News forum for a while. There have been a lot of threads being posted lately.

I think the admins are just giving us a chance to read the threads currently rather than having new posts push the old posts to the next page, kinda. :S

ok, i remember what some1 said that it was being reviewed because this was a gameing site and that a lot of threads were posted that had nothing to do with gameing, and that there was a lot of troop bashing and other ofensive things.

where did any1 bash the troops? i didnt , i blamed the government in power, the british troops are innocent and were under orders to not fire.

where was any1 bashing the troops?

and what was offensive?

and if ya want to talk about it being a gameing site and thise post were not game related, ok lets us see what we can find that have nothing to do with gameing.

should i go on, all of these post have nothing to do with games but yet no1 said a thing, i start posting things about what is happening in this screwed up world and automaticly the forum is shut down, WHY?

you cannot hide from the truth, of ya dont see it here ya will see it somewhere else, and if ya try to hide it and push it under the rug because ot isnt to your likeing then you aree no better than those that would take the rights of the people.

what was posted is the reality of things, this is how things are, what are you afraid of?

well im tired of crap like this, it all fine and dandy when it is what your interested in but if some1 else post something that ya dont like then hell no, we cant have that, it might prove me wrong in my belifes or go aganst what i have been force fed thru the cnn and other news shows, if i seen it on tv it must be the real and whole truth so what i read here must automaticly be fake or wrong.

and if it was to keep from offending some1,............... screw them, if thay are offended by the reality of things they shure as hell arnt living in this world but in their own world, and most people are , they dont care about anything unless it invades their little personal space, and if it disturbs their calm then they try everything to push it under the rug and prevent any1 from letting out anymore information.

i am so tired of these apeasers and wusses using the power of government and other powers to take the freedoms away from the people, if ya dont like it, then boohoo.

i dont care what you do you will offend some1, like this site it has something to do with those horrable vid games, and they have been screaming about games for years, meaning they are offended, but i dont see any1 taking this site off the air.

and if some1 did use the power of government or some other power and did take this site off the air than how would you feel?

same diffrence.

and some1 said that it was because it was offending some1, what little whiny bastard complained and you tried to apease?

but anyway, im gone, i will not be a part of anything that limits freedom and tries to please the crowds not worth pleasing, these crowds that whine and want you to change something to their likeing is the same dam crowd that is the reason for all of the methods of controll and other problems we face today, some1 should be ashamed of themselves for this crap.

but you mark my words, this crap will esclate, as long as we have those who want their way and as long as we have those willing to change to please some1 that isnt worth a bullet.

just remember it, you will see the end of this country with your own eyes and, and if you cant see it comeing then you are not truly awake, if you cannot see the small increments of controll and the reasons for them then shame on you.

if you want to hide from the truth then maby you cant handle the truth

im done im out, see ya around.

Lot of posting, must have taken abit to write down...

First, this is a Gaming Community forum as you stated. So what would the primary thing be that should be posted?

Im not dis-agreeing on the non-gaming news posts, but is has to stop somewere. There are enough news sites around to read and comment on.
And if you want to talk about politics, please join a forum that specialises in that.

I have tryed to read through your post, but the most of it seems bashing to me, to members that may or may not have reported a post, or have a different meaning.
Allmost all paragraphs on your post are pretty political orientated, here's some news, i dont give jack**** about your politics point of view.
Nor do i care about the most of the US politics.

Now i can go on and on quoting your post and answering to them, but i wont. I dont feel like talking politics..

Just please re-read your post, and try to be open-minded and neutral on matters and then think of how it may occur to someone else other then you.
My first thoughts were **explicit content removed**........

someone had a bad day :/

it's got nothing to do with gaming / not gaming, so not sure where that came from but it's pretty much irrelevant.

political subjects (however interesting or topical) are very dodgy areas in forums and quickly escalate into flaming and bashing, which is why we very rarely have political threads in the forum. it just turns ugly and we have to ban ppl, and/or ppl start to leave the site, and we get complaints etc etc.

now recently the News section has been filled will political and controversial threads, and a lot are about stuff that not many people are particularly bothered about (see number of replies).

the other reason for low replies is that members have been mature enough not to start a heated discussion about such controversial topics (in some peoples' opinions, remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinion), because they know what it will turn into.

however the number of negative comments being received regarding shuch politial topics have increased and it is making members unhappy.

there is nothing more sinister than that going on, we try to do what the majority of our members want. i think you pretty much offended every member here with your post :/

Yeah I didn't think it would be about this being a DF gaming forum, as there's other forums with non-gaming stuff in it and all... here at NovaHQ.

Maybe we should just put a description underneath the ''News and Current Events'' link saying be careful and all...

I don't think I've been offended really, by Mauser's posts. But I'm kinda young to ''understand'' certain stuff he might say or something, dunno.

you are defenalty entitled to your opinion a lot of my friends have died so you have that right. but on the other hand this is not the site for anti government stuff its a novahq gaming site. Just post the anti government and political stuff elsewhere and post everything else here.

there are three big things we try and keep off this forum.
politics
Hate groups
religion

no one is trying to stop anything but what the rules have already stated.

Just because im not one to hide i have voiced alot of times about your anti government posts on this site not because they are wrong because i could really care less whether the government is corrupt or not but the fact that it cause things like this to happen.

my 2 cents

all we were doing was trying to figure out a way for you to still be able to post the policitial threads, and keep the other members happy at the same time. during our discussion we deemed it appropriate to temporarly close the forum..then you just escalated the situation by posting what you did above instead of contacting one of the administrators directly via PM or MSN...was that nessicary?

is it really that bad that we try to keep our members happy here?

This thread should be locked. A big debate will start in this thread eventually...

I dont see a reason for a fight, but i have a suggestion. make a forum for people to discuss non-gaming related topics. keep the rules the same such as no flaming and keep the language clean, but allow them to argue their opinions to there hearts content. members who could care less about politics religion or how someone hates cats dont need to go into that forum and not have that spread throughout the whole site.

just a suggestion though.

Just like the Jokes forum and then the Mature Jokes forum, we should have an ''Explicit'' forum inside the News forum. It can be passworded and anyone who dares to go in can ask the admin for the password.

And at the end, if you ever get insulted/offended it's your own damn fault for asking for the password in the first place...

people some times go too over broad when making post/replies/threads up! when it may hurt others feeling or belief. it can turn into a flamewar or banshing of others.

we all need to remember this is a place for all to enjoy!
