hmmm, what did i do?

dont try to make ya own CB antenna if ya dont know what ya doing , i dont know if it just isnt tuned rite or its the CBs fault.
i made my own whip antenna that fits a standard 50ohm coaxal system and it is base loaded for 5 inches at the bottom and then it has some streight lines of wire in a triangler formation the rest of the way up the shaft, then it goes to a metal stud on the top that has a upsidedown cone shaped end to spread the radeo waves to the horizon instead of just sendin most of them up.
anyway i got it all set up and turned it on and i can hear pretty well for around the vally where i live so i just started scanning channels and started picking up some strange stuff like beeping, (probably morse code or some other type of encryption) and also started picking up other things that i have never heard, i also heard a station that is mobile alabama, im in walkercounty alabama and that is like 200+miles from here

i havnt a booster or anything, lol.
all i got is a late 60s early 70s Johnson Messenger 123SJ and the strange antenna that i made.
i think ill just go a buy 1 tomorrow, lol

just got me a new 4ft willson tunable whip antenna with weather band, can hear everything i couldnt b4, its supposed to be 1 of the top of te line antennas and wasnt to terrably priced, 28.95 pluss tax, but hell ya get what ya pay for and it has a 5 year warnnity, if it should fail for any reason thell replace it.
