JavaScript and cookies must be enabled on all browsers

Fully supported browsers:

Many other browsers work with Gmail's basic HTML view, including:
- Microsoft IE 4.0+

What about spam?

We are committed to keeping unwanted messages out of your inbox. Gmail includes a sophisticated spam filter that we're continuing to improve. The Report Spam button in Gmail is a way for users to help with this effort. It removes spam from the inbox and sends valuable data to the Gmail team working on spam blocking.

4. What does Gmail do to prevent viruses?

We take the security of our users very seriously. Most computer viruses are contained in executable files, but while standard virus detectors scan messages for executable files that appear to be viruses, Gmail takes this one step further by not allowing executable files to be sent or received.

hotmail will soon be 2Gb with a new look

Quote:
The Beta for the new hotmail, aptly titled mail, has been released to a select few testers. Those who have been selected will be given the option to test the service when they next login to hotmail. Along with the striking new design changes come some fantastic usability features that make browsing hotmail far easier.

The new look will be instantly familiar to anyone who has used Outlook, with message information on the left, and the body of the email being displayed on the right in the reading pane. Along with this new setup, you have the ability to drag and drop emails into different folders, just as you would do in Outlook. You can also right click on emails in the information pane and choose to reply, delete, forward or print. To accompany the fresh new look Microsoft have upped the storage allowance to 2gigabytes.

The service is currently undergoing a lot of changes still, and the team behind mail are working on giving the user the ability to see more than the 14 messages currently available. There are also plans to introduce a storage meter bar, which is not yet included in the design.
