Guitar to PC...

hey does anyone know weather i can somhow connect my electric to a pc? im sure it can be done but all ive seen is a Line 6 POD which i realy expensive...

erm i think you can.. my dads connected his up somehow, but hes using a MAC and some other hardware thingy...

ask in a music shop or something

heck yes it can be done! go to a store and ask for one. ive got one for a gutair, piano and a electric drums into my comp

I'v done it before ... you need a device that has a MIDI slot in it ... I used digitech's whammy pedal I borrowed from my mate, and tryed it out on fruityloops, works nicely ... if you were into that sorta stuff, the POD is prettey good for it, it comes with software to.
Also, if your in a band, you can use your bands mixer / mini mixer, which some have a MIDI out put
