Intro Screensavers now availiable!

For the past few weeks, Cheif*ADFP* a resident VIP here at Novahq.net has been working closely with Novalogic to bring you these screensavers. Hence the production of these screensavers has Official Novalogic backing!

We would like to thank all at Novalogic for their help, support and giving the OK to make these screensavers, particularly Georgina Verdon - VP of International Marketing and Michael Domaguing - Production Manager for their assistance. Without these peoples help the production of the screensavers would not have gone ahead!

You can download the screensavers by following the links below, just a warning that they range anywhere from 28 to 35 meg in size. Novalogic also will be offering the screensavers for download as well.

thanks i rack my brain on it to get it them right.

do you beleave i had no information at all making them up? no then at all to read up on. try and error till i got them right.

will ask me to do them again i may say yea you can wish on it too. i may do the new Delta Force game they come out what ever the name they give it.

are the actually supposed to install and work as a screensaver or are they just promos for it? Mine don't install, I just get a short 1.5 second video.

1.) take them out of the zip-file
2.) place them any place you like to (desktop)
3.) right-click on them see up top "test" or Instill test it first if it work out ok, then instill it.

that should be it. open your [display] you should see it in [screen saver] tap listed in there, after you instill it.

don't move the mouse or hit a key on your key broad it stay up longer on the screen

all the screen savers are set to default of the display, and the intro is set to its default. so as you can see you really don't need ones set to any screen size 800x600 or 1024x768 these will fill in the rest of the screen in black area. i made it this way to help keep it small in file size.

letting you all know what i use to make these screen savers with the Intro bink file.

1.) i use Rad Game tools: "Click-here" free for personnel use.
2.) then i open a Intro.Bik using the radgametool.
3.) then i lookup the file (game.bik) i like to use on the Game Cd (most case be inside startup folder , some game it be inside the HHD game folder like JOTR was located).
4.) after i find it all i do is open it up, see what it is, if i am happen then i use it.
5.) i then use radgametool to change it into a AVI file or i can make it into a screen saver, by clicking on the button " Advanced play" or make it into a AVI file i click-on "Convert a file" you may have to use a codec you get that option pop-up. try and error.
6.) i think click-on "Make EXE" a new window come up.
7.) in "output file info" i can make a new name up or leave it as is, below there you see [ ] Automatic over write [ ] create screen saver [instead of EXE]? i check Create screen saver.
8.) then click-on "compile" on the right side you see it press on it.
9.) after it done you have the game video Intro or any bik file made into a screen saver.

i did find it better make it into a AVI then use MS-movie maker to make any changes to it or add to it. it save it to a windows media player movie formate (smaller/ more compressed) like normal.bik 180mb when you use the movie maker it be 40-60mb a lot smaller.

when i was finish updating the done with the AVI file i click-on file upper left top save it into some type of Video formate, then use radgames tools to make it into a bik file again, then i move onto make it into a screen saver.

it can take a long time to change a bik file to a AVI and back again in to a bik file. for a one game to do all this can take up to 3-4hrs to do. from start to end it. but taking a bik file made into a screen saver can take 20-45min to do but the file size will still be big in-size like 40-180mb.

i call Novalogic Inc to ask for OK to do this, they told me it OK for personnel use, but i said like to make for all to use at home & their work place, that were we get into the copy right thing making for to use they wish to cover that area, so after a week thinking about it they ask to to add in the screen saver their info you see pr-------Novalogic-----2005 is what they ask tobe added in, will if i going to really dig into it more then i like i going to make it look at and add-in who help me to get it going. if you going to take a game software image/movie to share with other get their OK first, for personnel use they don't really care to much, as long it not for sale or retail. i added in the info and the "no retail" into it so if some one out there try to sale it they can't

by the way you can take any movie Clip make it into a bik file then move on make it into a screen saver. like a family home movie make it short is better then take that make it into a bik file then scr you be good.

that go for all animation formate even gif too.
