MED objects selection

I am unable to use select the objects selection when I try to insert items. Does anybody know how to do that?

you mean highlight the items? To highlight them, just click on them. Make sure your not in insert mode. To select multiple items, hold shift and drag over the items. To deselect them, click on the items again.

To insert items into the map, right click on the terrain and click on insert mode. Or, hit insert on your keyboard.

I mean when I hit insert then I click on the terrain the different choices come up and I am able to use decorations, buildings, people, etc but not able to use objects.

sounds to me like you have an editor problem try DLing a new editor
