I just lost EVERYTHING on my site all my sigs and all the posts in our forum which we were almost done fixing.

Our hosts datacenter just nuked everything!

Bummer bro. At least you ought to be able to pin them for an extra year free...maybe even an upgrade. Something similar happened to me once, so I told the hosting company just what I thought I needed, and ended up with 3 months free (and the problem really wasn't a big deal...it's just that all that I paid for didn't work).

Prepaid for a year, he is just a reseller it was his POS data center that caused it.

lol, jp. That sucks dude. Who was your host and ask them why you lost all your stuff. It is up to them to retrieve it. I do hope though, that you make a backup of your stuff?

I like gisol.com. Good prices, and they back everything up. They lost all my stuff one day, and although I had it backed up, they were able to restore everything the next day.

I like ev1servers.net they dont touch my data and never loose it . Also never go with a reseller, or do alot of research first. cheap dosen't always mean quality. most times they are just a young kid that really has no idea how to manage a server. It probably wasen't the data center that caused it, it was probably him messing with something he knew nothing about.

But there not all bad some are decent... Just some that I know shouldn't be hosting websites..

They usually remove all responsiblity for the data on the server, so getting anything from them is probebly going to be pretty imposible, besides the fee you payed. But they might also only give you the symbolic 99% up time. Which makes it hard for you to leagaly get payed back for the loss. 99% means that they will not garantie that the server will be up at all times. I've only had problem once, also a reseller. However I do not blame him as he knew what he was doing and I ended up losing nothing. He was actually switching servers as he had a problem with the former and didn't like it. So I got an upgrade (he just beeing nice, as he had no leagal responsibility to do it) for free and a new linux server with the newest version of CPanel
