annoying issue, any ideas???

The game plays fine for me....EXCEPT when I exfil from a campaign mission. When I get to the briefing screen for the next campaign when I get the chance to select gear, etc...
the crosshair pointer is there PLUS the regular mouse pointer. When I click on the screen anywhere it takes me directly to my desktop as if I had Alt + Tab 'd out of the game. I have to restore the game from the taskbar EVERY TIME!!

It is really annoying. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this PITA???

System: P4 2.26, 1024MB 333Mhz DDR SDRAM, 128MB NVidia GEForce 4MX video, etc.... (I know the puter can run the game without trying.....)

go to your game folder and click-on update some times a file goes bad i use it alot to repair it, it don't have that option but by running the update it seems to fix it a lot. Ps if your using a "No Cd patch" copy it and past it on your desktop after you do the update put it back into the game folder

Just tried that and it gives me an error message:

"update.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

when I click on the details of the error report I see this:

AppName: update.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0
ModName: update.exe ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 00003c01

now what??

i got exact same thing, i just alt tab like 3 times, depends how many windows r oppen. Got used to it now.

OK you got a bad instill redo the game; some thing did not get instill right the first time around have to redo it all, save player save file "dfvplr.sav" then instill it all, then delete everything in your game folder, after reboot your system, after this point instill BHD (do not update) after instill TS/Cd do the update BHD after (Download the TS update ether from here or Novalogic.com site) when finish add in the mod tools if you like to, and the dfvplr.sav your finish.

save any other files you like to keep like mod's and pff files..ect
