moving databases
we r changing webhosts
we need to move r vb 2.3.4 vb to a new server and keep the database but we r having troubles... ipowerweb doesnt allow us to use ssh to grab the sql and import it to the new server... though ive got the sql loaded on the new sever how do we get it in the database now... the new server does allow ssh but how do we connect and all telnet/ssh putty.exe is what we r using

See if your host will import it for you, most of the time they will. You can always try phpmyadmin, but there is a good chance if your sql file is kinda big it wont work.
