Update not working

Hi, Guys (and Gals).

I've been playing BHD for a while now and have decided to upgrade my game from the original to v1.2.1.1. downloaded the update - no problem. Played the game - great.

I have now tried to update to the most recent version, after 2 hours plus of downloading (poor old 56k) and have come up against a problem. The dowload, from this site, went okay and has been saved.

Having double clicked on the update EXE and pointed it at my DFBHD.EXE in the Novalogic folder etc, the update aborts with a dialogue box saying,
"Resource Utility ( ) could not be located. Aborting."

I have done this everyway I can think of -
no virus scanner
no firewall
cleaning the disc and reinstalling
updating from original to the newest version
my pc is updated regularly
drivers correct etc.
I have run out of ideas.......perhaps the update is not worth it?
Can anyone solve this problem?

is this file inside the game folder? resource.pff
you may have to unstill it and delete the game folder and don't add in anything to it, then update it.

by the way how did you download it? the update may have gone bad when you downloaded it, try again and don't stop the download at all. some time a file get lost in the download.

i have found some times a pocket of data dose get lost and i redownloaded work fine ( i have DF:1-4 all so), but again my DFBHD Cd was fully updated so i did not need to have it update it, P.S new update is coming out in Jan,2004 for DF: BHD around Jan, 20-29,2004 should be out then or sooner have to wait and see when it posted up.

Thanks for the info.
I tried uninstalling the game, reinstalling the original having deleted the game folder. When I try to update the game again the update fails and I then find the the game itself does not work. I will try to download it again.
I use download accelerator to download files, which is usually faultless. Oh well never mind, thanks
