Admins Help
I need to put a statistics counter on my new site and i have looked over the one for novahq, can you explain to me the code or file or what ever it is to give me just the following on the site:
Hits Today: 7,717
Unique Hits: 666,836
Total Unique Hits: 1,747
Total Hits: 3333


of course i wont have the same numbers.

the stats for novahq are generated from a top50 account. http://top50.novahq.net

There are plenty of stats scripts around, look at hotscripts.com

i tried that all i got was cheap counters with ads on em.

when i end up making my own i'm going to have to of course use a MySQL table and PHP...you'll need to track their ip and insert it into the mysql table and add to ur unique hit's counter and to ur total hits counter, and if your doing it, page views counter. Then you will need to check the next itme they come around if their ip matches the ip in the mysql table, if it doesnt add them to the unique hits, and if it does you still add them to the total hits, and page views
