any current/retired british soldiers here?

was wondering if anyone is currently in the british army, or has been recently.. need abit of info that i cant find anywhere.. lol

i plan to join either the Army air infantry (basically the infantry, except they get flew in by helicopter to hotspots) or the Mechanised Infantry, basically the same except you get took in by APCs..

thing is theres a mecial trade within the army, (i have always liked helping people who are hurt, sort of runs in the family as 75% of my family work as doctors or nurses lol) was wondering if you can be a medic and get attached to the 2 above sections

might sound abit complicated to figure out lol, simplist way i can put it

Plain

I was in the British army bro but it was a long time ago and as I'm 50 years old now the Army I knew has no doubt changed a hell of a lot.

I can say this it was one of the best times of my life apart from some very scary moments but then that goes with the territory and you are trained to deal with it.

Go for it as a career and I'm sure you will enjoy it but always remember, (and here I'm stating the obvious when you consider the state of our world today), there is always the danger of war some where.

Warm Regards
