F-22 l3

Hi,

I've just purchased F-22 Lightning 3 on Steam, and everything went well except for when I try to join a server, I get stuck on the Finding session......, then in a few minutes it says Session not found.

I tried updating, but when I click update from the game, nothing comes up, when I try to use the "Update.exe" file in the game folder it doesn't open, I guess that's because it updates from steam...

Anyone has any idea? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi William,

Thanks for the reply.

On that updater you uploaded for me it gives me 3 choices, "Which method did you use to purchase the game?", it only shows 3, Through TryMedia, GameTap, and I purchased a box copy of the game. And I've purchased mine through Steam...Any thoughts?

Once again thanks for your time

It says: "Game Tap versions do not support online play, therefore do not require patching."

Any other ideas? I so wanna play >.<

EDIT: I've also tried the rest of the options, none worked.

EDIT #2: I'm going to bed, I've added you on MSN, my email is Uncle_Teejay@hotmail.com - If you don't mind talking about this problem.

Thanks for your time again, good night!

Hi again,

I had a copy of the game on a CD, so I installed it and used the patch you have given to me, and then copied the startup file to the steam directory, now on the NovaWorld it says "Update is now required".

Any ideas?

if you install it from a Cd disc then you needed to do the following
1.) Update the game after it was install (Game update)
2.) then url server update after you had updated the game
as attach above post.

you can try to see if it will update online see if it will work now with the other patch still. mostly i use it after i have update the game first, but give it a try

Thanks guys,

Just reminding you guys that my F-22 is on Steam(Read more: www.steampowered.com), it's not installed from a CD or something, I bought it through Steam(which is like xFire), and installed it.

@sharp, thanks for the link, I installed the patches and tried running the game and it didn't run at all, it said something is out of date and it didn't open the game, so I removed the game and re-installed it...

Any thoughts =\?

William it probably doesn't work like that on Steam. Steam uses .gcf/.ncf files and should have been already updated for digital download (it's like when you download NL games in their online catalogue - you don't need to update the game at all).

Does anyone else have this problem?

I forgot to mention, I'm on Windows XP Pro 64-bit, is that the problem?

And heres a screenshot of a player in GS'S server: http://img41.imageshack.us/i/71211827.png/

EDIT: I just installed it on XP 32bit, I tried running Windows Live Messenger and I was getting some error, then I uninstalled this nVidia Network Manager or whatever it is and the Messenger worked. But F-22 still didn't Find any sessions...Keep getting "Sessions not found"

Any ideas?
