Not sure about other countries, but in UK the AS and A level results are out today, just wondering how many people here are in college ;P

I got 3 distinctions in my subject which are the highest grades i could get verryyy happyyy!

i bombed my A levels completely but still got offered a place at university.

Thanks, next im going to the local University in Swansea to do a year of Foundation in Art, then possibly to Newport to do an honours degree in Computer Game Design

ah actually i think we might have had this conversation before.

what sort of art does the course cover? is it generic or can you specify?

i guess you have looked into these things but from reading a fair bit i'd really recommend focussing on one aspect of the gaming process rather than a course that is all aspects. i guess 3d work or something like that would compliment an art focussed background? + there is lots of other avenues if you focus on one aspect - film, media, advertising etc bla bla you heard it before

Yeah its just a generic art course, but after the first term we have to specialise in something like fine art, photography, etc.

And yeah, the course im looking at encourages you to specialise. They do a basic overview of the whole process, but by the end, the major project concentrates on whatever you want to do like modelling, texturing, level creation etc.
