ya ready for USSA zone checkpoints? here they comes.
remember, papers please comrade.
http://www.examiner.com/a-1423820~La..._violence.html Lanier plans to seal off rough ’hoods in latest effort to stop wave of violence Jun 4, 2008 2:00 AM (6 days ago) by Michael Neibauer and Bill Myers, The Examiner D.C. police will seal off entire neighborhoods, set up checkpoints and kick out strangers under a new program that D.C. officials hope will help them rescue the city from its out-of-control violence. Under an executive order expected to be announced today, police Chief Cathy L. Lanier will have the authority to designate “Neighborhood Safety Zones.” At least six officers will man cordons around those zones and demand identification from people coming in and out of them. Anyone who doesn’t live there, work there or have “legitimate reason” to be there will be sent away or face arrest, documents obtained by The Examiner show. Lanier has been struggling to reverse D.C.’s spiraling crime rate but has been forced by public outcry to scale back several initiatives including her “All Hands on Deck” weekends and plans for warrantless, door-to-door searches for drugs and guns. Under today’s proposal, the no-go zones will last up to 10 days, according to internal police documents. Front-line officers are already being signed up for training on running the blue curtains Peter Nickles, the city’s interim attorney general, said the quarantine would have “a narrow focus.” “This is a very targeted program that has been used in other cities,” Nickles told The Examiner. “I’m not worried about the constitutionality of it.” Others are. Kristopher Baumann, chairman of the D.C. police union and a former lawyer, called the checkpoint proposal “breathtaking.” Shelley Broderick, president of the D.C.-area American Civil Liberties Union and the dean of the University of the District of Columbia’s law school, said the plan was “cockamamie.” “I think they tried this in Russia and it failed,” she said. “It’s just our experience in this city that we always end up targeting poor people and people of color, and we treat the kids coming home from choir practice the same as we treat those kids who are selling drugs.” The proposal has the provisional support of D.C. Councilman Harry “Tommy” Thomas, D-Ward 5, whose ward has become a war zone. “They’re really going to crack down on what we believe to be a systemic problem with open-air drug markets,” Thomas told The Examiner. Thomas said, though, that he worried about D.C. “moving towards a police state.” ================================================== ================================================== ==== remember they test the waters from time to time to see what people do, and if they dont get to spooked from this it becomes more and more till it is on forever. remember the fences are being built and the gate is on its way. |

what I want to know is - How would you stop the violence?
I can see it from both sides of the fence - yes it does seem like they shouldn't be doing that. But on the other hand, the reason why they are doing it is to keep outsiders from coming in and shooting the neighberhood up. So how would you keep people from coming in and shooting up the neighberhood, killing innocent people? |

well, we went wrong when we started putting AC in jails, and color tv, and nice soft beds, a lot of the people who get arested end up in there and they get 3 nice meals a day, and cable tv, with nice heated and AC rooms, its like a dang hotel.
i say putem back in the cold dark cells with a pad in the corner and a bucket to piss and **** in, make it so bad for them thell want to stay out. and bring back the oak tree/rope method, if ya rape some1, or murder some1 ya get hung by the biggest tree in the county and left there till ya rott a little, make examples, it worked in the 1700s-1800s it should still work today, and the politicians or idiots who come up saying you are intruding upon their rights, askem where was suzys rights when he forced her to have sex and burned her alive, if they still keep at ya, hangem beside those who did the crimes. if it worked like it did in the old days we would have a hell of a lot less crime. and that ladys and gentelmen is how ya stop crime from getting out of controll. and a government telling people where they can and cant go is where i will start declairing open season on these socialist idiots, that is how it started in communist russia aand nazi germany and ill be damed if im gona go along with it in the great USA. |

well, its happening in Iowa too.
>>>>>LINK<<<<< Government terrorists are continuing their agenda of terrorizing the American people and destroying individual liberty. Using the guise of keeping people safe from the floods in Iowa, uniformed terrorists are setting up Nazi like checkpoints forbidding people from going back to their homes. These checkpoints are not only unnecessary but also illegal as people should not be forbidden from going back to their own private property because some Nazi in a uniform is claiming that they are blocking the road for the purposes of public safety. People have the right to travel freely regardless of what these uniformed terrorists say. Like Hurricane Katrina, the government is taking advantage of this disaster to setup a system of control that Hitler and Stalin would have approved of. These government terrorists need to be held accountable for unlawfully violating the Constitutional rights of American citizens. It doesn’t matter if there’s a flood, earthquake, tornado or an invasion by space aliens, the Constitution is still the supreme law of the land. The government does not have the right to block law abiding citizens from their own private property regardless of the situation. . ================================================== ========================= and ya want to hear something , there were thousands of acres of farmlands destroyed when the flooding occoured, and many havnt the money or the resources to replant, some had to barrow to plant this time and are already in the hole, now watch the proce of everything ya buy go thru the roof. i hear about corn and wheat and a few other crops is about to do the eqevalent of a rocket price wise, imagine it like a $40 a barreel oil jumping to over $300 a barrel, that is the eqevalent, sooo get it while the getting is good, for ya might not have a chance depending if we have a shortage this fall. |
