Is it of significant importance?! Oh, and anything you do before that on that same day BTW?

I know what your talking about chief, but I don't know why you want that bar to show. If your computer loads up then there is no problem if that bar does not show. If your computer is not loading windows and that bar does not show there is probably something wrong with your bios, you could try reflashing it. If you can get into the bios look for something that says "Quiet boot", "Splash screen" or something similar in boot options or advanced and disable the setting.

Hmm... I thought so; it was that white bar. Yes that shows up on our comp but I agree with Scott; I guess it's just part of a computer's life... (not literally)
Oh, and you know when you boot up the computer and it says something like ''Loading DMI data'', or whatever it's called, when that happens, it's supposed to have three ''doosh doosh'' sounds, but after my brother used the computer without changing a boot setting whatsoever, it's down to two ''doosh doosh'' sounds... i know what you mean chief, i don't get the bar either, i see it all the time on other computers though.
try this : start > run > msconfig click the BOOT.INI tab and put a check in /NOGUIBOOT box and restart. i can't remember exactly what it removes, i think it removes the Windows loading screen (small colored bar), but there is a chance that it will replace it with the other long white loading bar. that's the only thing i can think of. |
