Windows Live One Care

Anyone else giving this a go? I installed it a few days ago and it seems to be doing the trick. I don't have any viruses to test it on, but my laptop has not slowed down one bit, and I kinda like the idea of MS providing software for there own products even if it is MS.. It's pretty cheap also, you get Anti Virus, Firewall, Anti-Spyware (With Win Defender <- I dont have that).. Least it's not as bulky as McAfee or Symantecs crap.

I just use the free all in one package from my ISP, It used to be just AntiVirus, popup blocker formfiller ect.

But now they have released "Netguard Total" it has everything I need for now.

it may not be the best choise out there, but it's deffinatly better then mcafee or symantec's bloatware. I've been picking at it the last few days and I really can say it's a good piece of software, it dosen't slow me down or bug me at all.

never even heard of it until your post :/

but just read about it and seems ok. i expect a large number pf people will refuse to even check it out simply because it is developed my Miscosoft, and the usual paranoia.

reminded me of some info i got from the SteelPad peeps: http://www.steelseries.com
more specifically to do with one of their newest ventures: SteelSecurity >> http://www.steelseries.com/news/pres..._online_gamers

integrates Anti Virus /spyware, firewall, online backup and other stuff, but specifically for gamers if you believe their marketing i would be interested in how that progresses.

signup and info is here>> http://www.steelseries.com/steelsecurity

will it still a baby they don't have all the base'c cover.

sample:
1.) Anti-virus can't beat other.
others who have a long track record.
2.) anti-adware it is new too,

make you think why would MS-search engine make a limited what is good for the company? kill off other adware but let their stay put.

i do like their maint tools option and don't know about the firewall.

firewall don't know if it get a lot of updates and block other for real. on the other hand how it workout for gamer's online.

I heard about it ages ago but found out then you have to pay for it.
May try it out, I always like ''all-in-one'' programs, that way less bulk on the computer.
E.g: Fix-It (thanks to Chief ) all in one angel.

It looks like great software, but I'm not really wanting to spend money on software when I'm already content. Sounds like a good bundle of people that it would work for won't try it because it is MS made...to bad MS has such a bad reputation for making windows lol! I think i may give it a try in the future

the things i don't care much for it:

it do maints scan around the clock, not good for big hard drive! it take to freaking long to finish up on the maints scan 1hr 30min like.

Maints scan : virus check, defrag scan, adware always running when your not using it or playing a game a long time it jump in to do it thing.

i love the rest of it only think they can make it even better over time.
