NovaHQ.net Wallpaper Contest 06/27/05

Hello Graphic Artists and Designers. NovaHQ is exploring an idea of Chief ADFP making our site a quality screensaver for a guests, members and fans to download and use. He is planing on using a BHD soundtrack but is not limiting the wallpapers he is wanting to use to any certain DF/JO game. We would like all the games covered by using graphics from all games if possible. My question is, Would you guys be interested in participating in a simple contest and creative addition to NHQ downloads? The wallpaper is to be made 800x600. The size can be made smaller or larger by the software Chief is going to use.

{Style} - No Restrictions
{Size} - 800x600
{Colour Scheme} - Use your favorite NHQ theme scheme
{Name} - NovaHQ.net
{Other Text} - Your nick in small font on the bottom right side of paper. We want you to be recognized for all you do here at NHQ.
{Specific Pictures} - Delta Force or Joint Ops "ONLY"
{Misc/Further Details} - If you want to make more than one, please feel free to do so. All papers will also be added to the NHQ wallpaper db and NHQ will reserve all rights after submitted to NHQ staff to do whatever we so please. I would like to see ALL of the NovaHQ sig staff to make atleast one. All non NHQ staff are welcomed to create and submit if they so desire. After all papers are done, I will post and poll all of the papers and may the best design win. Send all completed papers to tdbeadles@netscape.com in .jpg format.

I hope to see all of you participate. If we get enough of you talented guys/gals to make these wallpapers, we can follow through with plans to create our own screensaver. And the winner gets bragging rights. Thank you. -Trojan

i suggest bmp format so u get transparent littles on ur icons

don't know if this is what you was getting at?

Custom icons must contain the following images
-16x16, 256 color -16x16, xp format
-32x32, 256 color -32x32, xp format
-48x48, 256 color -48x48, xp format

to use on the instiller icon and same for the scr icon too.

one can use Photoshop or any other image software to make it in layers.

i really don't have a clue how to make it, i will have to buy a program to make one up for windows xp format?

if any one like to do it more then welcome to do so.

only need one nhq.icon file for it.

all the wallpaper have to be jpg, if i use bmp format the file size to down load will be really big in size.

if it will be used for downloads, I think a jpeg will work much better for the size issue

We've had 3 entries by one member. I don't understand why you graphics guys can't take a few minutes out of your precious time to do something positive for NHQ. If it's too much to ask to read my Sticky and do something that a site administrator asks, you may need to rethink.

guys you all can edited the screenshot anyway you like it to look like, any style is welcome to do up.

it don't have tobe a plain screenshot of the game play, you going to make a wallpaper out of the screen shot of the game make it anyway you like it to be ok. like a Sig you would like others to see do the same with the wallpaper make it special

i didnt just leave mine plain as well as doing the brush work over the screenshot i added a couple of duplicate layers and messed around with lightin effects to bring out a few parts of the background a bit more, but i mite av a play with it a bit more tonight
