ok here is my situation...i am debating between the ATI Radion 9200 and the 9600. Which 1? is there a diff or what...i need help lol

Get the 9600 Pro. If you have the money get the 9600XT. The higher the number, basically the faster the card is. The RAM speed is much faster on the 9600 than the 9200.

friend also told me to get tht 9800 XT but i dont wanna spend like $250 on a video card...i want something that will play JO, Far Cry, and UT2k4 smoothly with no problem...i have a friend that has a radion 7500 and last night i dl the JO demo and it ran it horribly

Yeah, 7500 is like the worst unless you go oto the Rage series lol.

The 9800 XT is very good along with the x800's. Get the 9800pro 128mb version or 256 mb version, if you can and don't want to get the 9800XT. Otherwise get the 9600XT.

ok i found a good deal on the 9600...now this should run JO and far cry good right b/c i dont wanna buy ne thing that wont run smoothly

Yeah, it will run it fine, but if you have the money, get the next step up and it will run even smoother. The 9600 should be fine though. Are you getting Pro or XT?

yea i have the 9200
and god its sucks
its runs bhd/ts perfect
but jo, omg i have such lag problems in most servers/maps
i would get the 9600+

look on eby for a good card i get a Geforce Fx 5800 Ultra for only £100 and it works awsome for farcry, unreal 2004 and JO

yeah i thought about that but i dont think i would really trust a video card or something like that from ebay...and i am not a big fan of nvidia, ive had some bad experiences with it and i found a awesome deal on a 9600...i found a ATI Radion 9600 Pro 256mb...$101

yeah i haD lotta issue s with ati.like u dont trust n-vidia iwould never even dream(maybe nightmares:P)of getting an ati card.and if u see what happened in my comp u would say im rite.but probably the other way around the exact same thing can happen with nvdidia cards.gotta be technical and lucky to have no issue with your card i guess.

but for me its geforce all the way for now.

u can get ot for less than 200 $ and its a bst card right now next to 400$ ones like 9800 xt 5900 ultra (nvidia)

personaly my next card either that5 new nvidia or new ati look at it this way u wanna get a card that will last u at least 3, 4 years get top of the line lol

I would look at the ATi 9800XT (Sapphire) its amazing JO graphics are really precise, i had all mine on high (a few on normal) and it looked amazing

Iwouldn't waste $260 on a 9800 Pro, Go for the XT if you go 9800 (like UB said).

geforce 6800 128 mb 300 $

check the minimal difference between the most expensive 1 and the cheapest 1 not much difference unless u have like a xp3800 + lol.
