Toughest Challeng yet?

CD ALBUM ART AND PACKAGING
On this challenge you will create the packaging for the CD of your choice. This will include a Cover, inside sleeve, CD label, and backing. This project gives you endless freedom to explore your own sense of style and whose success rests in the hands of unity and variety and formal/conceptual match.

Details
1. Pick any album that interests you or even create your own style of playlist.

2.Listen to the album and brainstorm imagery and concepts for the album art that you may think matches the theme and feel of the music.

3. Begin creating your own work of art that will fit the size of the required items.

4. Scan and print the work to the right sizes and put the finished art work into a CD jewel case. Then take a picture of it and post it here.

Required Items
Picture of your CD jewel case design and booklet.

original piece of your artwork

I think this will be a extremly good challenge for all novahq members. Steve if you would like to maybe turn this into some kind of tournament that would be even better. It would motivate more people to get involved. Plus this is a great exercise for when you take Art classes in high school.

nice idea.

i think if there was some kind of standard template that everyone could use - in the interest of fairness and uniformity.

i'd like to see some interest in this, i'm slightly bothered that it would be too much for some members here, especially as we had things like this to do when we ran sig of the week (but nothing this involved, esp with printing and cutting), but had very few entries usually.

there is some great software that simulates cd covers in cases, had to describe but i'll see if i can dig it out again.

so anyone up for it?

This seems damn awesome.

I'm gonna be honest, I've got so many things on my mind I have to do, but I can always put this one in my ''brain list''.

Maybe I'll consider doing it. Sounds awesome! (I just can't print it out and put it on a jewel case unfortunately...)
