IE7 Problem
IE7 Problem
Okay, I got Internet Explorer 7 and installed it. And, every 5 seconds or so when I'm active on the Internet it keeps on prompting me to damn connect! It's horrible! And, it happens when I'm already connected. I tried making IE7 to detect default settings, there's no luck, I looked in the Microsoft Site, no luck. Firefox runs alright. And, if you click Work Offline when it prompts you to connect the modem disconnects! Stupid beta programs full of bugs! Probably security reasons of some sort, or maybe it just works all good on Windows Vista. I do know how to rollback to IE6 but I just need help to solve this problem. Chris_OJB_DF645 --

Works fine for me
And don't bash it because it is full of bugs. They are still working on it, that's why it is Beta. To Remove it, go to Control Panel -> Add / Remove programs. Make sure the box Show Updates is checked. Scroll down till you see Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 preview. Select and click Remove. I like the tabbed browsing. About time IE had it IcI |

you need to tell it your on a dail-up (telephone) line, it maybe thinking your using a LAN connection so it do see you already connected.
i not crazy about beta items to much, IE7 is one i stay away till it finish up with. i am using MSN-Massager service 8.0 its cool, but a browser no thanks not when it a beta thats a bet to much for me. will lets face it Microsoft drop the browser totally never care much for it anyways, only they are revamping it up do to Windows Vista is coming out, sad thing they lost a lot of money in doing that. pass 3-6 years now, IE should be 10s or 12s not IE7. i using netscape browser it use IE & Firefox in it, and it free anti-adware, spyware and security too all free. were IE6 or lag IE7 has none at all. yea patches from hell all the time. sorry i use IE6 for updates and things but i use netscape there so much more to it.

Has to be one of those four options. I can always revert back when I need to. It might be one of those settings. Chris_OJB_DF645 --

Just recently, I found out something.
I made it so that the integrated XP firewall allows IE7 to run, cause it could be trying to block it. So probably that is why it prompts me to connect, cause when it's blocked, not much data is recieved and the computer thinks I ain't connected yet. I just re-dialled and the dial-up window has glitched for a moment, so I have to wait. Guess the Microsoft Site couldn't solve my problem. It's a 50-50 chance this is going to be fixed.
