I shoot them,,they don't die
Hi Guys
Another dreaded newbie asking basic questions. For some reason,,people are'nt going down when I hit them with anything else but a sniper rifle. Infact in a melee,,(loads of movement),,I still KNOW The guy was in the cross hairs yet they don't die every time. I have just had a session with a SAW. I had the hammer down and the guy ran through the cross hairs on more than one occassion. I run 2 meg cable,,(resonably constant 2 meg,,the fall off is quite small.) But the graphics card is only 128meg. Any ideas..I would welcome them. Thanks for listening H.M. |

is this in multiplayer?
If so: A. Are you leading the player? As in real life, you have to lead the target so that your bullet hits them. If you aim right at them and they are moving on an angle, by the time the bullet gets to them, they aren't there any more. B. Don't hold the trigger down. The longer you hold the trigger down, the more inaccruate your gun gets - its better to shoot in short bursts then in steady fire - the bullet spread gets bigger, thus bullets will fly right by target even when you have the crosshairs on it. My goal when I play is less then 5 shots per-kill. You get the leading down, and minimal firing you shouldn't have any problems |

yea in the game i found if you shot ahead or front of them they run into the rounds they will die real fast. then trying to aim right at them.
you can even shot at their feet as they run direct at you will get better kills as will. think it has to do with lag time between players

yes lag does play into it.
but it is also just common sense: you have to aim where the target will be, not where it is. Aim where the target is, by the time the bullets get there, your target won't be You just have to learn to adjust your lead for those who lag more |

lag time can be funny some time, i was sniping in DFBHD TKOTH servers i get kills without shooting off a round at the time? weird
seating there and watching them run around in the zone trying to pick what one i pick off next i see i got a kill without shooting a round off.

Yes,,,I think its lag..there are too many inconsistances here.
Sometimes,,if the person is bang in the sight,,yep,,you got him. Other games..the same shot does'nt work. I have noticed that a "Barrett" is better than the stock 21,,,I always get better results. I'm hopeless with a standard machine gun,,,could'nt hit a bull in the arse with a banjo,,so I snipe. |
