will i use to Tv-card by Hauppauge WinTV but seem i can't get what i need they don't sell that brand and was looking for K-World but the item i looking for has a front bay unit to use in the front of the tower.

Tv-Card seem sweet anyways

will let me fill you in on something thats is really great.

you basic hookup your cable or disk tv to a PCI card and watch it on your moniter or what news on your monitor, you can even record movies or news clip to upload to the internet host site like a news flesh about bad weather in your area you like other to know whats is going on in your area.

there is so much you can do with a Tv-Card PCI in your computer. record VHS tapes or home video onto a DVD from video source like a small camo plug it into your video Tv-Card then save the images to share with others online.

it do the same thing as a DVR as will on your Hard drive too.
(keep in mind you did a really big HD to save them to)
i have two Hard Drives 300GB and 40GB in my system.

or in my case sell screen savers of people/family home movie. they use them at hgme or the work place.

more like the other way around guy watch Tv on your monitor is how it works besides recording to your Hard drive from other sources as will

The only reason i asked b/c my brother in law had a thing that you hook up to your PC and TV and whatever you do on your pc you can see it on the tv also.

what your brother did was use a Tv-Set for a monitor, a Tv-card is using your monitor as a Tv-set besides using your system as a recorder as will.

you can use the Tv-cards PCI type to even plug-in a camo to use on the internet as will all so so other can see you as will live.

they are not the same.

i like to listing & watch the news as i am read my e-mail on my computer as will.

you see the Tv [Cnn] on my tv-card look like on my system monitor.

basic it like this:
1.) PCI Tv-card snap into your system MOB and you plug-in your Tv-cable into it, if it has other type connections for the Tv-card you can plug many things into it. to record onto your HD. (My VCR and Disk Tv is plug-in to it right now)
2.) instill the drivers first then the software (codec) for it.
watch everything on your monitor even HD Tv movies & channels as will, basic a HD Tv is your monitor anyways.

Monitor stay connected as always into your Graphic video card like it is already, there no need to plug it into the Tv-card PCI all data image get transfer to the Video card from the Tv-card throu the MOB

it only capture video feed into it, as will feed it the video out.
you can do many type of recording with it.

draw back: you can't use any of the software that came with it to watch Tv-video feed with at all other then preview screen not full screen.

basic there no Tv-tuner in it at all.

to fix this i downloaded Winamp version 5.32 and got a Tv-plug-ins to capture the video feed then did a lot of changes (in the settings) to get it right,

remove all the cables to the Hauppauge WinTV tv-tuner PCI card see if winamp is working without all them cable going to the Tv-Card......yea it working 100% feeding off the Video Advantage hardware feed

i can watch Tv on my computer without a tv-tuner at all now,

basic Winamp (plug-ins) leech on to the

the plug-in then get the video feed from Video Advantage send it to Winamp to use to show it on my monitor to watch Tv on it full screen now.

basic you use your cable box or disk tv box for a tv tuner to feed (plug in to the Tower) ether by using a Tv capture PCI or a Tv Capture tuner PCI card.

i have Dish Network DVR box it working like a Tv-Tuner feed to > video capture PCI card, and use Winamp to watch the Tv Channel with a Tv-Plug-in for Winamp sweet full screen

basic it like this

VCR coaxes cable > Tv Tuner PCI card
VCR coaxes Cable > Video Capture PCI Card > Winamp Plug ins to watch live feed to monitor full screen.

Video Capture cards are way better you can plug in many other type Video recorder/CAM units

best if you do get one it be a plus! it has a front bay united included with it, so if you do like to plug/hookup other thing into it no need to go the back of the tower to do it.
