i have just downloaded fraps from fraps.com. By useing fraps while playing in nova servers does that violate any policies by nova?


"C:\Fraps\fraps.exe 0" is its properties if that helps any

i've not heard of it causing problems, but it might be dodgy if you're playing on Official servers. depends on the game i guess, i.e. if punkbuster is running. hmm maybe.

if you tell us what game, then maybe someone could be more specific.

I have used fraps in Joint ops JOE DFx (bad Idea lot o lag for some odd reason) and BHD never been banned or questioned by nova (It was in a Nova Ranked server/ official server)

Dont use it ne more since i got me some nifty video capturing devices

But it is always a good thing to even e-mail like steve said or contact them to make sure.

Really i would say your fine do to i have used fraps a long time in catching cheaters and using it for other stuff in Nova Games and Many Others.Not really anything you can do with Fraps to violate anything.I dont even think Nova knows if your using it or not but i do know they really dont care much for 3rd party software or software used that was not approved by them.But heck its like any other thing people might use for gaming like The Pinger or Launcher to connect to games.

Nah im sure they dont care!Only thing they really care about much is things like NO Cd Patches for games they were not built in for.See like Joint Ops and DFX they decided to finally put one in since everyone was downloading no cd patches for there earlier games.
