kbarak glitches
uh, i put an item called "kbarak" in a map, its a building, but when i play i get this ultra-glitch....why?? how do i eliminate it (without eliminating the kbarak, of course )

raise the spawn point higher or move it outside the builden. it set to low inside the builden.
then again some builden were not even ment to be use inside. if there are opening or door to use then the spawn point is set to low raise it up a bit till it right hight. all so if it set under the stair case you get that look too. on the under side of the builden skin it like glass back side there is no skin set there.

you got your 'blink' groups wrong.
omg it's years since i did this, i cant remember exactly the building should be parent i think. (check item attributes) |

Building needs to be parent, but it doesn't look like it's alligned correctly. Easiest way is to turn on snap-to grid. Place your interior and exterior, they will snap together perfectly, then use shift or control (don't remember) and draw a square around it to select them both and move it to wherever you want

ah, ok, the problem is not the spawn, its set outside the building (is also a parachute spawn), talking about blink groups, i read about on the mission editor manual, and for what i understood blink groups are to tie together two or more buildings and the tunnels or whatever they're linked with, but my kbarak is an only building, no tunnels, no decorations inside, i did just put it in an empty area, distant from the rest of the items in the map.
anyway i put the kbarak into blink group A 1 and set it parent, but it didnt change things... just dunno what i have to do with it... |

Acording to what i was seeing in the picture you provided you forgot the interior of the building. thats a 2 part building. karak and kbaraki make up the whole building
Any 2 part bulding must be blinked as well. the kbarak has an interior and an exterior part to it. make sure you have kbarak and kbaraki in exactly the same spot. use the snap to function or you can manualy type in the heading and X,Y coordinates of the kbarak to the karacki. Once you have them pefectly aligned set them both to the same blink group with both parts set for parent. others 2 part buildings are: Hq2/Hq2i, Kcomm/KcommI Also needs to be blink grouped and parent: Des3, Target Des3, Kbuilda, Target Kbuilda Hope this helps. and if you still have a problem with this send me an email with the map in question and ill take a look at it there. jet4571@lanset.com

ah!!! ok!! it works now!!! i didn't know of interiors/face buildings, now i've aligned them and set parent and it's all ok!!

no problem glad that helped.
heres a good tip for you so you dont have to do that all over again, copy the building, open the second map page (p2 button next to the C H and D buttons) and paste the building into it. save that as whatever you want, now when you want to use the kbarak or whatever buildings you pasted there just copy it and paste into the map your working on.
