cant play online

I am unable to play df1 online anymore. i am unable to update. when i use game update i get message-ftp_err: server response550/pub/patches/dfrev5/us: access denied. version i have is 1.00.03.03p. update wizard v 1.0.09k.when i trty to connect to a game i get a blank screen. dont understand what is going on. i hve uninstalled adn reinstalled teh game. am also running dx9. and windows xp. help please. this is my favorite game and it is making me nuts

I get that with the Jo demo and tech Beta. I have Norton Firewall, just disable ur firewall and if it still wont run try this...

i tried that to but as soon as i open a game my entire screen goes black wot am i doing wrong? im talking about df1....

What happens other than "my screen went black"? Did you get an error or what?

nope just turns black nothing else first i got an error with some security but i turned of my firewall and id doesnt work
but maybe it has something to do with my router i dunno?

redown load the update from here and instill it and all so redo the update for your gfx card too what ever it is the data has gone bad in it (software driviers).

i am using DF1 with Windows Xp Pro i had to set shortcut to windows Me below is to show what to look for:

Windows Xp Family has this option "Xp home & Xp Pro"
