OK i need help here files corrupted need to replace them

here is what i need from any Windows Xp home version

i got some of the files from the INTERNET but there is one i can't get my hands on it the "MAIN.CPL"

system crash on me and scandisk found error and deleted these files
1.) main.cpl (need this one) ******
2.) mapistub.dll (already replace it)
3.) mcd32.dll (already replace it)
4.) mcdsrv32.dll (already replace it)

i had another file was bad "IMM32.DLL", but i already replace it.

i got all DLL from: www.dlldump.com


if you have the main.cpl and you are running Windows Xp home version its not to big please zip it and attach it to the post thanks, you can e-mail me PM me for the address OK

if you do have this main.cpl file tell me were you found it so i can place it into the same fold on my system.

if any one know how i can run Windows Xp home version SP2 Cd repair let me know be great

if you put the cd in, it should gave the option to repair. you might have to click on install, but you get the option after that.

run sfc /scannow , it will verify and replace windows system files if the versions are messed up

(or sfc /SCANONCEif you want it to do it during the next boot)

Hopefully though the files in the cache aren't corrupt

yeah good pont, chief check C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache
see it its in there

you can do this from Desktop without being in Safe-mod or reboot system to run from the CD ether.

disable all items that don't need to be running Anti-virus/firewall/anti-ad-ware and anything other close them out. it would make it run faster.

1.) OK have Windows Xp Family Cd in the tray.
2.) Start>Run> type in: CMD hit enter (dos prompt should come up).
3.) type in: SFC /PURGECHACHE
4.) after next line type in: SFC /SCANNOW

A small box should come up and start to look for windows files to see if any need to be replace, this can take a long time, if there are a lot of files bad or not listed it will replace back into system from the Windows Xp Cd.

taken me a 1hr and 30min to finish scanning


4.) when all is done with Type in: Exit hit the enter key thats it.

thank god my system is running normal again.
