IRC Channel ?

Is there none IRC Channel concerning JOINT OPERATIONS etc. or NovaLogic ?
I dont find one, usually any game community has something like this.

Anyone know of some ?

irc never really got out there for nw games. Most of the bigger games use it for clans to get ahold with each other for matches and such.

Especially for mapping help etc it woudl be good, because its much faster to ask someone directly than post it in the forums and wait maybe a long time before someone would mind to answer. Therefor a IRC Channel would not be so bad.
As long there is a community, it would make sense.

yeah thats the only thing about it also. I dont know how many ppl woud acually use it. Maybe some ppl from NHQ but that would probably be about it. :P

This here is a big and nice site, and I guess here are some mappers around for example. Wouldn´t it be nice to open a channel, at least for a test ? Something like #novahq

Would not cost a thing and maybe some would like it. I would sure be there.

i thought irc servers had a price?

i havn't seen many about for Nova games, infact ive seen none, nova games r small.. barely ever more than 5,000 on each game.. (BHD + JO) its a small community compared to Bf2's 50,000+ players, Irc is used more as a chatroom for random things and transferring files, triva, gfx chat, films + movies... also its used by many bittorrent sites (not going into detail on that bit)

Well. we only need a channel, not a whole own Server. Take irc.enterthegame.com for example, it´s a good Network, and not so unstable with so many netsplits than Quake Net.

That should do it.

weird that the df community doesnt use IRC, never has as far as i know. but you make some good comments for it. would need to find some admin for it i expect who are experienced users.

I am looking forward to that. the channel #novahq in irc.enterthegame.com is still not is use so far, meaning, it could be used just to get it to work and see what comes. I am in it already if someone needs my help, just tell me.

Its used by WoW players, cs, cod and someo ther games. You can go there and set it up for free. Very easy to set it up, a little bit mroe difficult to set up the channel in irc.

I would appreciate for anyone coming around there and stay there with me. I would be happy to try to make that a channel for help for anything JO / DF releated or even for mappers to change their ideas or ask others for help.

I would appreciate help especially from people who do mapping, running a server, people who know much about ranking in NOVALOGIC Games etc. So that there is help possible for a lot of questions maybe.
