Direct X version?
Just out of curiousity...
When I first bought my comp it came with Direct X 8.1 installed. I have since downloaded and installed Direct X 9.0a. Are there any known bugs with using 9.0a for BHD? Does anybody else use it?

but have heard some people say they get a shimmer on walls of buildings

9.0b is out. That should help fix some problems. Hope that helps.
