Why is my screen black when hosting a dedicated server?

Delta Force Anything to do with the Delta Force series of games, DF1, DF2, LW, TFD, BHD, DFX, AF etc.

Why is my screen black when hosting a dedicated server?

Because a dedicated server is a dedicated server, you aren't playing in it. The reason why it's a black screen is to save resources for the server.
