Micro R/C cars.
I just recently got in to micro r/c's. I have several cars, a nice helicopter, a couple micro boats and some tanks on the way that play laser tag.
I use the cars as a hobby with the students I work with. It allows them to be competitive and creative because they can design their own tracks and paint their cars. There's a picture of 3 of my cars and a demo track I am making to show for "RC Club" at work. These cars range from $10.99 to 19.99 depending on the brand and model. The micro speed boats are cool and just as small as the cars in the pictures.

I used to have one of those. I would scare my mom with them. I'd hide it somewhere like under the table, when she walked in I'd gun it out in the open and make her think it was a mouse or something. she'd nearly jump out of her skin.
I tease with love tho. nice collection BTW. I don't have much in the way of RC's. I've got a cool blade CX2 heli but that's 'bout it. it'll cost ya about 200 bucks but it's an awesome heli. |

How many HotWheels did you use to make the piles of tires in the corners?
They look like replacements for slot cars, I could barely keep mine on the track when i was a kid always flew off in sharp corners. cant imagine me keeping on of those on a track...

$10.00 got me 50 cheap ("lead painted" most likely) car at the dollar store. 4 wheels per car so I have a lot left over hehe.
Turning those cheap cars in to a larger off road track for the monster trucks.

Here is my helicopter. It's an indoor IR from the steel phantom line.

Are those Mini RC cars pretty hard to control? I always see those heli's when i'm out and about and always want to pick on up. I wish they were more powerfull so it could lift things tho

At first they are yes. The steering is an on off procedure so you have to get use to the timing. I have yet to see one with real time steering.
There are some expensive tandem rotor helicopters that can lift quite alot. cell phone uav http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9PfyY-TCaA lifting 6 pack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sLh9...eature=related

cools, that's a very small Helli. I love small Helli's like those, easy to control and great for in door flying. they do pretty good outdoors too but you can't have much wind or it'll be all over the place. I found that if you bump up the sensitivity on the rotors, you can fight the wind alot easier. |

IR helicopters do not fair well outside because the sun is stronger than the infrared signal. I prefer IR rc's though because they have more channel options so more people can fly/drive at once.

1:64 I have yet to see anything smaller, well scratch that because if they did a scale titantic I am sure to get it hand size it would be below 1:64. As far as normal size vehicles/aircraft 1:64 is the smallest I have seen.

LOL ^ yeah, sometimes crashing it the best part tho. it sucks when you have to pay for the damage tho.
I crashed my heli first time I flew it. I totally destroyed the rotor shaft after about 5 minutes of flying it. the guys at the hobby shop told me when I bought it that he pretty much grantee I would break either a rotor shaft or a rotor blade first time flying. so lucky I bought some extras while I was there. best thing you can do, if you see you're about to crash, just quickly yank the throttle back to shut off the rotors and let it fall to the ground, believe me, a short drop will render alot less damage then it crashing into a wall or something with rotors spinning at full speed. lol |

I cannot decide whether or not that dirt was packed. An r/c like that would probably cost a couple hundred dollars...and I have to wonder how long the battery lasts.
