ADSL/phone problem

Okay, for some odd reason, everytime mum's on the phone now, the ADSL basically drops till it's no longer functional and I can't browse the net or anything. This wasn't the case on our first ADSL week.

I believe it's to do with the filters, so I attached a picture to show you if it's the problem or not.

Thanks for any help guys.

Chris

Yeah I told mum that lol. She's not doing it yet - she said she wanted to ring up the ISP to check or something. And I'm not entirely sure if the phone cable can plug into the filter (filter's a bit away from the actual phone).

We'll see what we can do.

ok thats a little hard to follow but i think i understand. Basically this is how you should follow setting it up..

All phones/devices need to be connected to the phone side of the filter. The filter should be plugged into the wall. This will ensure that all phones or devices are filtered on the line so they do not cause a problem with the dsl. Now for the dsl side of the filter. That is basically like not having a filter if you plug a device into that side. So the dsl side is unfiltered. Now the dsl modem will plug into this side of the filter. If there is no other device where the modem plugs in then you may plug the modem directly into the wall.

Post back if you got questions

oh and if you need that splitter on there then plug the filter into the wall and the splitter into the phone side of the filter. After that make sure the modem is in the dsl side of the filter and not the splitter.
