another weapons mod question

here's one for ya chrispy!

is there any way to have it so when you fire the 50.CAL you get the heat effects of the barrel turning red hot and all of the smoke and such But not have the stop firing when it is overheated.

so basicly what I want is the heat effects and the red hot barrel but I don't want the 50 to actually stop firing. it would be cool for the special affects.......
