I think it's really sad, for both Germany and Australia. I really don't see the logic behind the banning of "violent" games. Out of the millions that play violent games every day, a few people a year go crazy and kill someone, then blame it on a video game.

What's up with all the nanny **** going on now days? Aren't people capable of making decisions themselves? Aren't parents capable of keeping these games away from their kids? Do we really need the government to replace the parent’s primary roles? ****!

This sort of stuff makes me angry!!! I'm going to go practice killing people in Prototype.

It is a well known fact that introducing immature minds, to horrific violence, creates
immature horrific minds...................simple.

Examples can be seen on this very site.........................simple

I really can't see what the problem is, they are gonna die anyway.....................simple

I definitely have to agree with Scott, he's right on it.

Right now at school I'm doing a formal writing essay on why we shouldn't be worried about the internet, and I'm trying to explain how it's been a bit step forward as well as all the benefits, etc... I just hope I'm doing a good job since I know this essay would be similar to writing about how video games are hardly "bad".

Video games, TV, the internet etc are not the problem. The type of people that shoot up a school have something mentally wrong with them. The video game didn't just all the sudden make them go bat**** insane and kill everyone in sight. Their ****ed up mind did that. Theres no one that can convince me otherwise either. I know billions of people play video games, watch TV and read crazy stuff on the internet every single day and never have these issues.

Any parent worth being a parent should pick up on their kid having psychotic tendencies, and get them help. If your kid talks about death 24/7 or get violent when they play games or watch TV they should not do those activities. But it's the parents job to notice and react to that. It's just so sad and frustrating that we live in a time when parents are in denial and don't want to admit their kid has issues. And if they do admit it, they leave it up to the government to fix it. Now instead of millions of kids sitting inside their house, peacefully playing the latest Halo or COD, they'll be out on the streets, drinking, doing drugs, stealing, destroying your property... etc. I know that's what I did when I was younger. I had nothing else to do.

Now lets sit back and watch the piracy in Russia and Australia skyrocket. Next they are going to say the WiiMote is a weapon that is teaching kids how to swing a sword or lightsaber.
