Install that and see if Cheatblocker lets you play DF2.

I'm not skinning, I'm using df2 source to make a stand alone game, it won't even be in the same folder or use any df2 files.

Cheatblocker use to be good not anymore, its deadend there. top dog is punkbuster. i have seen cheaters using cheatblocker many times. and if cheatblocker was so good why they don't have novaworld or novalogic backing of it. sorry its really dead. like to see punkbuster take care of all novaworld servers they do it so much better 1000% better then socall cheatblocker ever can do.

bottom line cheatblocker no longer super good do to cheaters fine new ways to get around it thats a fact of life.

Novalogic doesn't use Cheatblocker because DF2 has been out since '99. No sense in installing software on the server.

NL and NW will never use the Cheatblock on any of their servers; even the new one, they have never use it in the pass or in the future and they going to keep that way. i say use what NL have you and work what you have to make the game bigger and better. but there are some who like to see it go dead all together and don't care about a old game.me if i see a old car say 1952 and i can fix it up make a whole new car out of it by god i going to do it anyway. something is old you don't let it die off.

i would love to see new charters and weapons and maybe some other things like bad guys in it, this dose have good points boost sale and other things. you can always add to the pff files to make it better and bigger.

DF2 skins are not shared... only the player with the skins sees them so it *can* be used to gain a very significant advantage during gameplay. A game that supports skinning has some form of control in place that either all players share the skins or some checking to ensure the skins are reasonable. DF2 has no such features. Skinning has (and is) being used to gain an unfair advantage in the DF2 game.

If you want to get into modding the NL games in this fashion then pick up bhd and start there. It is the only NL game that provides the basic tools for this.

PunkBuster doesn't have NL's backing either does it...
PunkBuster doesn't stop all cheating either does it...
Chief ADFP doesn't know all either does he...

When was it good?
When did PunkBuster start blocking more NL game cheats than cb?
When you saw these cheaters did you report it, prove it, or just like this post... simply post opinion rather than fact?
When did it die... when you moved onto bhd?
1000%... can you substantiate this figure with fact?

The only fact clearly demonstrated in your post is you have absolutely no grip on reality. PunkBuster doesn't support any NL game yet you are willing to rely on it or NL's proven performance and track record. What was it, two weeks before the bhd game was released that the first cheat showed up.

IMHO some people should know what they are talking about before opening their mouth, I wasn't bashing modding, I was bashing skinning which is what this guy wanted to learn to do. Which for now is cheating, even if he only skins the guns, hell make them all white and you see everyone from 1000 meters away.
