computer specs to run BHD online?

Currently I'm using a Pentium III, 800mhz processor, 256 SDRAM, Nvidia Mx G-force 4 graphic card, 17in Dell 781M monitor... etc. As for getting online, i'm still using dial-up connection at 56k. I guess what I have right now is the minimum required setting to play DFBHD online. Ok... lets cut to the chase... I'm plannng to upgrade my PC by end of this month. But I got a limited budget to upgrade it though. (USD $300) Could someone advise me on an average setting to run the BHD online smoothly? I'll be changing the normal dial-up connection to broadband in 2 weeks time though, at least that would help on getting some speed there. One more thing, I definitely cant afford a pentium IV, whadyathink of Amd processors? Thanks & really appreciate your help.

hiho

my speccs are

AMD Athlon Thunberbird 1400 MHz
(one of the great AMD processors )
Gainward GeForce Ti4200 64MB
768 MB DDR2100 RAM

runs the game fantastic.
i can play all gaames currently on the market, but i will soon be upgrading to a faster processor (my processor is the bottleneck in my system - it holds back my gfx card).

u could pick up my kit for less than $300 im sure of it.

Cool SB, I'll make a benchmark on that then. Thanks. I'm currently facing the same problem of having my processor holding back the graphic card capabilities too. It's such a pain. Anyway, I'll go window shopping this weekend & let u know the stuffs I'm shortlisting & maybe you could help me pick up the "right" stuff.

yuppp... thats actually the first thing I'm gonna get. Hey... u're the the map designer for D-day rite? I'm looking high & low for anybody that hosting that map. Which server should i go for if i wanna play that map on A&D or TDM ? I played that map once only, it was in a korean server but it was a night battle. The one that you've created was in the day rite?

err... i'm getting off the thread topic here... but this is a one off question though.. heh... :$

erm my squad *PR* is hosting a kinda event, not a tourney but a series of beach maps / normandy 1944. including my dday map.

it is TDM and 50 players. aparently it has been filling up within 3 games. at first the guy was just testing his map and the same map was on rotation but still even with the kill limit to 500, 90% of players stayed in the server to play again.

i think the server is called 'Normandy 1944'

but we have a few other servers called Burning Flag *PR* #1 #2 #3
