DFX2 Screenies
A thanks to Wupass for posting these at NW2:
They remind me of DF2/DFLW gameplay quite a bit. The environments seem to look much nicer. You can see some JO/DFX assets in there, still. If memory serves me right (well, hopefully anyway), The Kyle did say this would be more similiar to the old DF gameplay - by the looks of the screenshots, I think it probably will.

Still really disappointed that all their new games look the exact same. If they want to make it back out into the gaming world like they used to be they need to wow us with something, not make the same crap over again.

sounds like it's the dfx engine from the other thread so it would be very similar looking. dfaf might be more different looking you never know, but i guess all DF games will havea similar look/feel because they are all based on huge landscapes.

They are not very immersive though, that is NL's weak-spot. Opening doors and interacting with objects has never been their strong point.
Anyone can create an engine that can support 100 players online....if they make the graphics shizzy enough. That is why Operation Flashpoint 2 is going to OWN ALL!

I was put off Nova after Joint-Ops. Personally i dont like they way the gun is held, the graphics dont seem to be able to keep up with other modern games, and like ath said, its not very immersive.

are these screenshots confirmed? no offence, but that last screen to be posted is crap, maybe someone is having too much free time and throwing together scenes in N.I.L.E, because thats what it looks like lol

Yeah they are, they are on the official NW2 gallery page.
http://www.novaworld2.com/index.php?...x2-night-rain/ I assume they would remove them if they were fake.

Moan Moan Moan
I really dunno what planet some of you guys are on....
I keep hearing 'it's nothing like COD/Crysis/OpFlash/MoH etc etc' but the plain truth is that those games, and I mean multiplayer, are dross ! Lets take the last 'biggie' Warhead, I unfortunately bought that and the multiplayer experience is ****e. It lacks variety, apart from invisibility (real noobish that !), the gamespy powered servers drop, can lag real bad and then the weapons load out is so flawed you have to guess where to click on the screen to change weapons!? (how did that get past testing?). Does anyone here think that NL games will ever be cutting edge leading the world in the latest game designs? I don't think so. But what they do offer are games that are, mostly, fun to play with a varied community which has the happy knack of not taking itself too seriously. So I will be buying both new games, after all I have the others... com |

All the SSs are legit, posted by staff. I wouldn't post anything to the news that is pure BS, so you can trust me BB.

if nova would take some time and have decent screenshots they could really sell this game, remember the screenshots EA had for BF2? action shots, jets flying through small spaces, helicopters flying in courtyards.. amazing... lol |
