Plain Xbox 360 making a weird noise

my Xbox 360 is making a weird noise when ever i a playing a game, not the ones you get off the market place but CDs it makes a kinds of a GrrrGrrrGrrr noise. is it suppost to do thats or is it anything of my consern. did anyone else get this kind of noise too?

If you have it upright put it on it's side. Spazz is right the most common TRRoD is a disk drive failure and it's the mototr thats doing the growling.

and it sucks when that happens, because your going to be out of an xbox for three months ..

oh man thats sucks but i bought mines from Best buy so they said they will give me a new one right off the shelf with no wait, i have my Xbox lay down not standing up though

overheating?

because if its like my PS3 when it does that, it means that it is overheating, and try to keep it out of an enclosed space because that is how my PS3 overheated...

i got plenty of space of my 360 so over heating isnt a problam, btw dont use those third party fans where you put it on the back of the xbox 360 it melts on and voids your warrenty. does the TRRoD happens to every one?
