CS questions

is Counter Strike Source the same as Counter Strike 1.6?

dose Counter Strike come with mission editor or some map editing tool?

how many gats are in the game?

so the reason i've asked these questions is because i've heard its really fun for like 5 years now and im thinkin about buyin them... but then i heard of several of them so witch one is the latest version? or best version?

Counter-Strike source is the latest, It's graphics can still compare to some of todays games.

CS 1.6 is awfully old and its graphics are awfully dated.

the gameplay is precisely the same, all the way down to the weapon reload animations.

That's because Source is the engine used for GFx, that's what HL2 is built on.

The graphics are amazing. Can`t wait till HL 2 Ep3

I think Valve Hammer tool is the map editor. It looks harder than MED, though.

Oh, and CS is the #1 online action game in the world, so I think you'll know how many people play it online.

I hate CS and AA because you have to wait until the end of the round to respawn.

1.6 is better than source imo. It always has been and always will. Now I like source too but I much prefer 1.6. After being years and years old, 1.6 still has tons of lan tournaments and still has thoughsands of servers up at a time. It is still supported by caleague and other online leagues/tournaments regardless of its age. Source is good but I prefer 1.6. If I were you, just get them both. 1.6 is like $10 now a days and source is pretty cheap too.

It would be good to have a respawn option or something in CS. I never really liked waiting till the end of the match.

I think there's a deathmatch mod or something though for CS. 1.6 or Source, I'm not sure. Maybe both. :/
