is there like a patch for this or for a no dvd check or something, i even tried deamon tools and clonecd virtual drive but still does the same thing, even tried the yasu thingy, im lost.

you can try but I don't think an update would help. mine played just fine right out of the box.

and if all fails the only thing I can sugest is to take it back to the store you got it from and excange it for a new copy. you never know it could be somthing wrong with the CD its self.

i had something like that happen a hairline crack was in the disk

on two games that disk was bad all got install good and all, but seem some files were bad and could not be read on the disk it self.

hold it under a table lamp look on the data side see if you see any pinholes of light coming through it.

if the printed side is damage some time light will show right through both sides, it would mean the data on the CD/DVD is damage, really fine pinholes.

look were the Data side for light pinholes.

if no then then tilt the Disk side to side for fine cracks even small ones 2cm can mean its damage.

clone a game DVD or any type game don't always work on all games, even some i try get that error Halo Ce for one will not be clone on the HD or CD/DVD at all, some for some other games too

85% of the time will work, but not 100%

Hopefully those cracks work Mauser. If not, then for the time being I've no idea.

i know u got it fixed, but it does sound like it was picking up virtual drives so refusing to load.

iirc cod4 uses Safedisk4, i cant remember if that picks up drive emulation (think so), but i'm pretty sure it does ape**** when it sees daemon.

this is why ppl hate cd protection http://www.glop.org/starforce/ , if someone has a copied game - they use nocd crack = no probs for them.

but you have legit software and you get shafted by ****ware because it's overprotective over stuff that's not even related to the software it's allegidly protecting!

i got cel-????? game; it would not even install do to i have only one drive its a DVD-Writer do to that it would not even install right off the back.

i return it to the store told them it would not even install at all, they ask me if i like to replace the game with the same game i said no. refund please cash back, then i got Far Cry 1

i did call the maker of the Cel-game they lam id if you even have a DVD/CD writer in your tower you need to unplug it to install the game. right like i go spend 60-350 DVDrom drive (blueray rom drive now days $$$)

some time i think this anti-copy right blockers go way over broad.

i did not even have virtual drives or clone/120% software install.

funny way thing go

wouldnt do me any good to take it back if it wouldnt work , the stores where i live will under no cercumstances take back any software after it been opened, they say it is because some1 make a copy and return and get it free, i say it is because they assholes and dont want to be held responseable for selling a defective product, hell most stores around here wont even take back a tape that they wiped with the deactivator for the security device.

and ya cant hardly do anything about it ither, they will just tie it up so long it cost you all ya money, i think it time every1 stop buying from multimillion dollar international coperations and start buying from the local owned places.
