nvidia driver

Hi there
I am getting lock up at the "death" screen, and weird colours at other times mid play. Got an Quadro XGL900, Athlon xp2000, 1 gb ram. Have updated bios, mobo driver etc. Windows is blaming the XGL900 card. Latest foreceware driver 71.89 installed. Driver must also be compatible with 3DSMax. Any ideas?

rollback the drivers to a older virsion one you did not get error from.
step
un-instill the driver you have in now. then reboot.

re-instill older virsion driviers.
reload the driviers that did work 100% without error, great for you a older virsion.

most people save what they downloaded. i hope you did.

i got GForce 4 440MX DL 3 older virsion save i downloaded. at this time am using 71,89 no error on my end,

but you have another type of GFX card then i do.

you could double check to see if you did get the right update for your card.

you maybe able to use
Current NVIDIA (XP / 2000) 71.84 (WHQL Certified) Current NVIDIA (IA 32) 1.0-7174 listed up top

but none are listed as 71.89 for your card
