domain names..
ok i ordered a domain name, and i got a package from a company, now which one of these ips do i set as name server, i mean should it just be an ip, or should it be dns.hostony.com and dns.hostony.org

Normally the name server is NOT input as an ip. Just the text.

normally its NS1.DOMAIN.TLD and NS2.DOMAIN.TLD

Email hostony (your host) and ask them for their nameservers. it would be something like ns1.hostony.com and ns2.hostony.com or something of that sort. I'll let ya know how to change it through godaddy later on msn.

It can be an IP if you setup your own nameserver heh, like ns1.kallberg.org and ns2.kallberg.org (which happens to be my nameserver )
