Steve did you get Episode 1 ? and was it worth it?

I havent put HL2 back on for a while, I do like Day OF Defeat Source though... I loved the original on the old HL Engine too.

Yes keep me informed m8, I have seen videos but nothing in them has grabbed me in the way I want to buy the expansion.

I havent put HL2 back on for a while.

nope not yet, not played much games for a while now. i had the urge to play Far Cry for a few weeks, finally loaded it and played for 10 mins and just quit :/

same with HL2, i would like to play it again - especially as i have a better gfx card since i last played it, which was the first week it came out. but after completing it i can't really see it interesting me that much :/

maybe i'll see how much it costs. i take it it's not a full priced game being an expension? or am i wrong. was there lots of hype over EP1? i heard it was comming out but never read into it, or noticed too much about it.

Yes its out m8, It would probably be cheaper to get it through steam, Its £19.99 in the shops over here, But only $19.99 on steam I think that is somewhere around £12.00 though it maybe on offer somewhere else cheaper, I know its £14.99 on Play.com.

Here is a link to the Official website m8 if you want to see the video ect, Like I say I didnt see much different in it thats why I didnt bother. But If thats a video of Eps2 you posted that is a step forward from Eps1.

okee cheers

i'm not really familiar with steam, i would love the idea of getting new content from it / that download system, especially because of the price. but can you burn the downloaded data to cd for a backup? i guess there is a Steam FAQ but if you know then that would save me some hassle

(currently dont have steam installed, and fear that if i reinstall HL2 i wont remember my account details and will have to do numerous updates )

Steam updates are easy, the only updates you need are Steam itself, & whatever game you want to play, I'm sure theres a lost PW thing, i dont remember really cos im always logged in, auto-login ...

/goes to check

yeah, theres a "Retrieve lost account", its not just the standard lost Pw either, you can specify if you know your username or not, so it should be a breeze, GL heh

anyway, Ep1 ... i havent bought it, dont think i will, I've read about it, seen the spoilers, and i know Alyx is by your side most of the game, Ep2 should be fun though, I think TF2 is coming out with that :o.

Edit: hmm, i seem to have passed 3200, when did that happen ?, oh well

Steve you dont need a CD/DVD for any games you have registered to your steam account, If its in your account you can download it from steam over and over again.

If you goto the games list within steam, If you see "In account" marked on any you can download So say your HL2 CD/DVD got scratched beyond repair, You could log into steam and install it from there.

Hope thats understandable...lol You know what Im like trying to explain things...
