wtf?? Folders just...

Ok when i log into my computer the Pent 4 one (see below for Specs) it comes up with a Common Folder with nothing in it and then i close it and it wont go the **** away but after i restart and log back in it is gone it happens bout every 3rd or 4th time i get on the computer.

2nd issue when i go to my Computer the "MY COMPUTER" letters are Blue and i double click on it and then "Documents and Setting" Words are BLUE but when i double click on the documents and settings there are no more blue Folders.

Any Ideas???

Done know bout the letters being blue and i have done Spyware scan Virus scans and so on other scans.

The folders that are in blue are folders that have been either encrypted or compressed. There is a setting in the Tools -> Folder Options -> View... named "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS fils in color".

Its just a way for you to see that it is encrypted or compressed.

Don't know about the common folder.

OMG
some one did you bad from inside the house you liven in no joke.

ok here the fix for C-Drive (Gee why me?)

open "my Computer" right click-on "C: Drive" see "Properties.." click-on it, in there at the bottom of "Gernal" tab you see "[X] Compress drive to save space" uncheck it! then click-on ok.

leave all other be onlu uncheck that one item. any folder or local drive can be compress to save space but there a drawback it take longer to use things.

windows updates listing are compress reason they are not use at all, but they are still needed for windows system to fix if there a trouble with a item.

all compress folder/files/drives are highlited blue text name of them.

as for the folder pop-up i don't recall the asker for that think it a easy one maybe scott may know or steve.

look in start>program files> startup see if there a shortcut to that folder in there?
