I have the spanish(latin america) and the japanese versions. I have not done much with either. But if I remember correctly, when you start a language, everything you see will not be english or rather your language. It is all written the language you are trying to learn. It teaches you by audio and pictures.

Got myself all 3 levels of Arabic. Almost done with 1/3 of Level 1 in couple of hours with 97% Yo KB you should get this to chat with Natives

Always wondered what they talked about on Al Jazeera

If this works out might go for Spanish, Chinese, Hebrew, Italian, French, Russian, and German

ahh i don't agree with the grammar thing atholon .. think about it .. ask somebody why they say a verb one way in some tense and then another in a different tense .. they don't know .. they just do it

but i agree with the rest .. if you really wana learn a language go to the country that speaks it and live there for a few months .. you'll get it lol

I learnt a language...knowing the basics of the grammar is very important. But it is also very important to listen so you can see how they form sentence structures and pronounce stuff.

<- speaks Portugues very fluently.

I want to learn Spanish and German and possible Arabic.

DD you can join up get a lot of things for free too!

learn a lot going to other country's in the service and learn their way of life and speak understanding it as will. have to be open minded of way people say a word in their own language

in south Korea you can say a word in their own language (think its mongol or something like that) could mean many thing counts how you speak it out.

many word in that country like a person name in "Happy days" (not going to point that name out) but it means a mans body part that's make a man! in south Korea.

anyways getting it first hand one on one is so much better.

Rosetta Stone is sweet tool!! but don't tell you how to say the words in a way! sample if you say it off beat way that word could mean something totally new and not nice to say. i learn that the hard way.

funny some English words mean something totally different all together! in another language

sample for is:
U.K. English (Fag=is a cigarette) Vs U.S. English (fag=same sexual likes)
some other

i was in the service man, i would be look at funny when talk in other in their own language's and speak it badly! mean something other what i was trying to say. some time i even got yell at for saying it!
1.) how you speak it out! in what manner you say it.
2.) way you say it nice way tone of voice or deep tone of voice could change it meaning totally.
3.) even your out doing something with other and saying something in a group could change the meaning totally.

the world is a funny place to live in!

DD i know your ether to old to join the service and really can careless about joining up at all. but there is a whole world out there to see and like all jobs there are good side of it and as will back side to a job too.

I'm just happy with a cushy job.
