TFD>mission editor---> No VOXELS option.

What is this for and what does it do? No shadows is easy...anything placed at 0,90,180,270 will generate shadows if its unchecked...vice versa....but i haven't figured NO VOXELS out yet. I have a ton other questions to...in regards to the C-4 editor. Speaking of which...is there a manual for the C-4 med. for TFD?

IF you want your map to have invisible terrain - you can still walk on it but can't see it - except in the Commanders Window - turn off the voxels. I've seen some maps where people created things like an Oil Tanker out of wall pieces and if the ground/terrain was shown, it caused serious frame rate loss but with it invisible, the frame rate loss was hardly there.

only think it was for to make tunnels easyer without going under ground to see what you doing.

i made one some time algo a tunnel with tree top's in it look like a super old tunnel with bush hanking upside down. bottom 1/2 was clear only put it top 1/2 ppl can see under them or blow them up to clear the way to see to see the other end of tunnel.

by having it disable you see terrian
by having it enable you see terrian like glass see thur-it.

come in handy when line up items under ground you may still need to get a 1st hand view of it but to line it up is alot easyer sample you think you know were a item is but put it some other place with it enable you can see what you did without hunting for it.

Actually now that you have all reminded me about this it's starting to come back to me. ArticWolf summed it up pretty clear. Basically if you have a mission where all of the action takes place inside of buildings or tunnel's and there is no need to go outside.....you don't need to have VOXELS on.(showing the terrain) Just make sure you block all doors/escape routes etc...unless you want to freak people out.
Thanks guys!
