World cup 2006

who do u think will be the top 5 ? or top 10 to have a chance of actually winning the cup (FOOTBALL - SOCCER)

i think in this order

1.) Brazil
2.) England
3.) Italy
4.) Argentina
5.) France
6.) Czech Republic
7.) Spain
8.) Holland
9.) Portugal
10.) Germany

but england beat argentina ? england have sum of the best players in the world... germany are lacking just for the moment, and have alot of older players than england's...

Ashley cole - THE best left back in the world - no question
Ferdinand - good enuff to be where he is
Terry - one of the best centre backs going
Gary Neville - great right back player who sticks to his position
Frank lampard - 2nd best player in the world - or so he was ranked in 2005
Steven gerrard - carried liverpool thru the champions league which they went on to win
David beckham - one of the best crossers and free kick takers in the world ever
Joe cole - does so well for chelsea and has scored 4 times already for england.. provides great play, runs at players and great at crossing
Wayne rooney - THE MAN... where wud england be without him... plays striker, midfield and isnt afraid to go back to defence to win the ball back.. totally hard-working class
Michael Owen - given his small size, he certainly can jump for britain, he jumps higher than what 6ft7 peter crouch can and has a masterful finish
Paul robinson - Englands best goal keeper at the moment, no1 will be david seaman, but this guy works his socks off

ok....cool you have support for a country you live in, there not going to get 2nd trust me. And who cares who they beat....point is it was then and doesnt have much effect on the future.

I could make a list like that for brazil, italy, Khazikstan. Point is its the world cup, and look at what happend to france last one LOL, and didnt they win it the one before that?

France won in 98, i think argentina before that ? and brazil in 2002.... England have 1 of the best teams in the world... we only lost 2-1 which was the closest brazil came to losing AGAINST brazil in the world cup last time.. by a flukey little goal... now with rooney who took us to Euro 2004, which we cud have gone on to win if the ref wasnt 1 sided, we have the most chance of winning this since 98.. which we went out against the Argies i think

exactly france won 98......and hate to say it got RAPED in pool play 4 years later when they were expected to do VERY VERY well again. USA wasnt expected to get out of Pool play and look where they went, all im saying is its the WC (hehe) and its anyones game at anymoment, but i just dont think england has what it takes for #2

yea we got nocked out on penalties in 98 by the argentines.. a shame.

i think well get to the semis at least this year, providing rooney keeps his cool, and owen's up to the challenge this year. owen seems to be playing some deacent football since he moved to newcastle.
